I suppose this proves I’m a committed blogger…
or… perhaps… that I should be committed?

Blogging is a strange pastime, a sort of outreach of ideas and thoughts that some might prefer squished by using their big powerful shite covered boots. Yet here we all are, saying this stuff about anything we want (within reason not to incite) and enjoying reading other individuals ideas and thoughts, that we might not normally hear (due to media being owned by the big boots brigade). How long it will last, who knows?

  Extraterrestrial archeologists visit. Their main mission is to sift thru the radioactive rubble from our third and final world war… attempt to piece together what, exactly, had pissed us off enough to react / overreact so drastically. They’d likely, properly, assess it was all the fault of the big boots brigade.

    I clicked the [Like] button for your honesty, but that I am staying hopeful that there will be a shift in humans that we just currently cannot see. We (you, I and other beans in the mix) all could contribute towards the positive change. I have yet to work out my part in this, if any, but that we all might have a part and not know what it is. Hope and be what we hope for.

    I admire your optimism. As for my dim view re humanity’s chances, I’ll remain open to revising my thoughts. But, to do so will depend mostly upon if he winds up being a one termer or (better yet) a 3/4 termer… if the republican menace fades from the political scene for about a century or two… i.e., until they can reclaim and re-humanize their collective soul.

    You best know now, every time (EVERY time) I see or hear the word “soul” I mentally say “Rrrr” {{{giggling}}} inside and completely sober {{{giggling}}} it is too. Right, you know the sayings about if you’re a betting man, you wouldn’t bet on the lame donkey running, but people might (not our business) and the saying about success or fail, that it either does or it doesn’t work. We’ve a choice of attitude and I dont wish to portray a self fulfilling profosy (oh shit I’m having a spelling blind spot) professy, profacy, FFS… self fulfilling prophesy of doom. Better to have an attitude that promotes hope for a future, plants (physically plants) for it and crosses that bridge of fail ONLY if it comes to it. It’s insanity to want to be right about doom and gloom. LOL “Oh the humanity!” (sorry my brain just did a Jim Carrey Grinch voice) with more {{{giggling}}}.

    Your point well taken. My doom and gloom approach to some of my political prognostication / blogging is oft for the express purpose of setting myself up to be proven wrong… and more often than not I am proven wrong. To e.g. that, although I did vote for Obama in both ’08 and ’12, I predicted he’d lose.
    
    Ergo, in ’19, I predict [1] the Trumpian rampage will be unconquerable, [2] the U.S. Constitution will go up in flames and [3] a hand-me-down from father to son Fascist, Dark Ages Dynasty (DAD) will establish an asphyxiating choke-hold on liberty. The End! Let’s see if I’ve just jinxed our dying world back to good health.
    
    Sorry it took me so long to reply, but, about the time your reply appeared, it had to be going on 4 a.m. and I was using my desk as a pillow for my sleep deprived noggin.
