Dumb Donald Eats/Eats Up TV Fare

For optimal effect, prior to playing back the clip, above, read the set up, below…

From 1973 – 82, long before the Real Donald became a (four-letter) household word, we found the clever (clairvoyant?) Match Game writers submitting Dumb Donald scenarios for emcee Gene Rayburn to recite to the panelists, contestants and all who were playing along in the home and studio audiences… situations such as…

Rayburn: Dumb Donald is soooooo dumb…
Audience: How dumb is he?
Rayburn: Once he tried to _____ a TV dinner.

Soooooo… just how do the two Donalds… ahem… mindmeld?

Well, it’d appear that, on or before (episode air date) October 25, 1978, our uncanny writers must’ve made a psychic connection with Real Donald’s backward flowing emanations, which (just like everything else), tend to rapidly leak out from the White House’s Executive Residence.

As they peered into their crystal ball, they had to have gotten a dim view of… ahem… Donald’s personality… likely even caught him doing what he doth best… pigging out while vegging out in front of his big screen TV. And seeing how… to put this in shrinks’ parlance… that couch potato is so adept at “projection”, no doubt, his severe deficit of intellectual acuity, abysmal business acumen and wealth of physical lethargy must’ve influenced these bygone, 20/20 vision visionaries… sooooo much…

How much did it influence them?

Well, Real Donald actually wound up making Fake Dumb Donald even dumber.

How even dumber did Fake Dumb Donald become?

Match Game contestant Debbie Rich and the celebs will divine his low IQ and how that affected his behavior…. after a few words from “our sponsor”… Swanson’s TV Dinners… let’s watch…

Well, we’re finally back and guess what? It’s now time to watch our Match Game clip, too!
