Running: More Ways Than 1

The following story is true. My not naming anyone by name is the best way to further emphasize how the disease of racism is omnipresent and adversely affects all people of color.

During election year 2020, there’s an African-American candidate who is running for high elective office. Regrettably, his best shot at emerging victorious is to establish a gun-nut voter base; to pander to their worst instincts; to concurrently rail out against his political rival’s anti-gun stance. The irony here:

Armed to the teeth rabble oft seethe with bigotry, too; so much so, that were this candidate to ever go out for a neighborhood jog… well…

Many of his newfound, vile, vigilante supporters would not react well. They’d summarily judge a running black man “guilty’’ of the “crime” of minority jogging. Their meted out punishment would be too horrific to put into words.

Our only consolation, here, is knowing how this political wannabe is too smart to ever attempt running such a dangerous experiment.
