The irony of free speech / free press rights is that, when the bereft of all human decency, betrayers of Democracy exercise… correction… exploit them, egregiously so, they risk exterminating the very document that guarantees these 1st Amendment protections.

Case in point…

The Fox Network’s talking head / head case, one Tucker Carlson, has become a lump of malleable clay / pliable play dough in the hands of one Vladimir Putin, the strong-arm, who has not even needed to utilize his iron fist grip to facilely fashion that Tucker into Russia’s propagandist newbie.

Indeed, as I type and you read these words, the utterances of Putin’s patsy / protégé are being exploited in an attempt to [1] firm up Russian troops’ flaccid morale and [2] demoralize Ukraine’s indefatigable freedom fighters.

The very notion of that verbal venture, exemplifies just how unconscionable, unforgivable and un-American Carlson’s screechy screeds actually are; how such stench fails to pass the protected free speech sniff test.

After all, what that hack, Tucker, is up to is akin to shouting “FIRE” in a crowded theater; where no such conflagration exists; an action that’d absolutely result in needless injuries and fatalities.

More to the point…

Traitor Tucker is now shouting, “FIRE!” within Putin’s Ukraine theater of war; pointlessly perpetrating and perpetuating carnage and property damage; and as such, he’s become complicit in Putin’s crimes against humanity.

Tucker Carlson now has, on his own hands, the indelible blood red stain of Putin’s pointless war.

Seeing how, nowadays, nowhere within this Earthly realm, do right wing extremists ever get raked over the coals (re their treachery), perhaps, someday, he’ll be invited to attend Beelzebub’s “barbecue” (no asbestos attire allowed)?

We’re talking about the ideologically ORANGE shifted, streamers, broadcasters and bloggers, worldwide, who get off on sticking their collective nose into America’s business. As if their own homelands are WHAT?

• So problem-free they’re yawning thru slow news days?
• ONLY they possess the expertise to set America right?

My gawd, that’s both disingenuousness and hubris at its butt-ugliest.

Beyond that, their delusion-fueled notions of what constitutes “right” is nothing short of encouraging the Orange Menace to take another stab at the Oval Office, come 2024; an election where, win or lose, the vengeance seeking OrangeMan’s top priorities will zero in on burning down Democracy / America and the entire planet.

Both now, and for the foreseeable future, these meddlers, abroad, will continue to conspire with Stateside, ideologically ORANGE shifted, streamers, broadcasters and bloggers; the whole kit and caboodle determined to undermine what little progress President Joe Biden has made; to utterly roadblock what he has yet to accomplish.

And while, via re their surge in TV / Radio ratings and website hits, these pundits stand to flourish, the real America, which they’re hellbent on tearing asunder stands to flounder and fall.

Due Process Is Overdue!

PREFACE: Re this post’s content, I likely won’t have a legal leg to stand on. At best, I’ll be limited to venting my outrage. But, vent I must! So here goes…

As we’re oft reminded, Freedom of Speech is not inclusive of yelling “FIRE!” in a crowded theatre where no such fire exists. Obviously, the consequences are injuries and deaths.

Conversely, not yelling “FIRE!” when the fire really does exist (even intentionally downplaying the seriousness of the fire), also results in injuries and deaths.

In either scenario, the offender is / offenders are guilty of public endangerment and depending upon the severity of the harm they’ve done, the perpetrator(s) must face down misdemeanor and/or felony charges.

In a sense, Donald J. Trump’s willful downplaying of his DIY pandemic has allowed the COVID-19 conflagration to burn down humanity.

Yes, we are talking about public endangerment. Correction. Such a charge would not even begin to cover his heinous offense. Let’s call it what it truly is.

A Crime Against Humanity!

And that demands prompt, appropriate attention!

We’d be remiss to not similarly charge Trump’s accomplices; namely his owned and operated Representatives, Senators, Cabinet Secretaries, aides, underlings, spinners and Propaganda Ministers. Before his pandemic is over, we may even need to make an example of a few more thugs; namely his owned and operated Supreme / Circuit Court Judges.

The arrest warrants for all the above mentioned entities are long overdue. The main difference between them and us is that we’ll grant them their day in court. And, if justice prevails, they’ll wind up lodged within a gated community; i.e., accommodations with a concrete cinder block and steel bar motif. And, there they should remain for the rest of their natural lives.

To anyone who’d say, “That all sounds too extreme”, I’d counter…

Should not the punishment fit the extreme crime? Never forget that the above mentioned, from Trump on down, have the blood of the 220,000 pandemic fatalities (and still counting) on their hands.

Even were Trump, et al, to plead insanity, they’d still pose a threat to society. But that’d pose no problem; adding rubber padding to their cells’ walls would be easy.

Let’s keep it real. We must never mollycoddle mass murderers. In their mucked up minds, they’ll always view leniency as our tacit approval. Allowed to roam free today, they will return tomorrow; and with a vengeance.

In other words…

If we don’t punish them, minus the due process, they WILL be back to punish us!

Match Game writers submitting Dumb Donald scenarios for emcee Gene Rayburn to recite to the panelists, contestants and all who were playing along in the home and studio audiences… situations such as…

While Gene’s contestant, Linda, and the celebs take a few moments (way back on May 31, 1978), to consider how best to fill in that ol’ blank, there’s a bit of old business you and I need to tend to.

FULL DISCLOSURE: Falling in line with the commonplace TV land practice, I’ve opted to schedule a clip that’s a summer rerun. But, considering how my ratings / analytics tell me that only a handful of peeps had viewed it back on my original posting date, 03/08/2020, it’ll likely all be new to you.

However, even for those who did see it back in March, there still is a compelling reason to play it again. It was three months afterwards… on 06/01/2020… when our bygone Match Game writers’ prescience… even contestant Linda’s and the celebs’ clairvoyance all became even more evident.

That’s the day where Real Donald, in flagrant violation of the U.S. Constitution’s Bill of Rights (1st Amendment), had barked out his marching orders to his own private army… deployed his storm troopers to DC’s Lafayette Park to viciously attack / teargas protestors, who had opted to exercise their free speech rights and peaceably assemble to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

Which only proves how dumb Real Donald really is. Hey, I know! Let’s run my own scenario, concurrently!

• How dumb is he?
• Just to “man up” his flaccid image, he lumbered into
Lafayette Park for a photo op; to stand right in front
of St. John’s Church to pose with a copy of the ______!

Dictator Donny Declares War on America

Dictator Donny has been having a blast bossing around his stationed in Portland, Oregon, mucked-up-in-the-head goon squad. BTW, his militant minions moonlight / do double duty as his mucked-up-in-the-head, unofficial, campaign workers, too. Their main mission is to man him up / help him appear more (d)electable to his bloodthirsty, sycophantic voter base.

Patrolling Portland in unmarked vehicles and decked out in unidentifiable uniforms, affords these storm troopers an abundance of anonymity and lack of accountability, which can only aid and abet Donny’s [1] needless maiming of Americans, [2] violent violation of peaceable protestors’ 1st Amendment Rights and [3] eventual overthrow of America.

Granted, not all demonstrators qualify as peaceable. But that, in itself, raises these key questions…

Might Trump’s own troublemakers be acting on his behalf to inflame demonstrators’ justifiable outrage? Might Trumpsters even be setting the actual fires? For Donny the Drama Queen, such subterfuge would not be out of character.

Oregon Governor Kate Brown who wishes Trump’s troops would just get the hell out, might get her wish. It’d appear that she does have a legal leg to stand on… i.e., if Wikipedia can be counted on as a trusted source…

“The governor is the commander-in-chief of the Oregon Military Department. Power is granted to the governor to mobilize and deploy state military forces.”

Hmm… just wondering what would happen were the good Guv to order her troops to protect protestors from Trump’s mercenaries?

The obvious irony, here, is that Donald J. Trump is the one who’s actually disturbing the peace. Hell, to meet his goal of restoring said peace, he’d need to order his own troops to arrest and detain HIM!

Hmm… not a bad idea…

Brutal Honesty re Police Brutality

Let’s deconstruct the phrases “police force” and “law enforcer”. Could the overemphasis of “force”, at least to some small degree, be subliminally suggesting to law enforcers that police brutality is “just” part of their job description? Could classifying law enforcers by military rank (e.g. sergeant, lieutenant, captain, etc.) be aiding and abetting their militancy, too?

We already know that federal militarization of America’s state and local police forces is tantamount to overkill. Could that practice, simultaneously, be suggesting to law enforcers that becoming brutal killing machines is, somehow, expected of them? Even playing into their mucked up rationale that, since they’ve already got the army armaments and vehicles, anyway, why not do what?

Shoot first, ask questions later? Declare war? Mutate America’s streetscapes into war zones? Kneel on their prisoners throats to suffocate them? Sadistically jump up and down on their victims’ dead bodies until they smash their atoms into the asphalt?

Sorry for such graphic descriptions. However, except for that bit about the atoms, that damn near well sums up what’s actually happening out there.

Of course, as most of us already know, police brutality’s primary cause is deeply rooted in North America’s 401-year-old history, namely, the enslavement of people of color, which predates the birth of America by more than a century and a half. Those bygone, backward slave owners made damned sure that oppressive, reprehensible racism would be omnipresent, and, to this very day, too damned many law enforcers still buy into maintaining that mindset.

• That’s why unarmed, tackled to the ground, handcuffed and not resisting arrest people of color (such as George Floyd), suspected of committing minor, non-violent crimes, are winding up awaiting their wings instead of awaiting their trials. Which begs the question:  What ever happened to their 6th Amendment protections, which (to paraphrase) guarantee a defendant’s rights to a speedy public trial by an impartial jury (instead of the trial by judge, jury and executioner cops).

• That’s why non-violent people (of all races), who are protesting the incidents of deadly police brutality are, ironically, falling victim to police brutality, too. Which begs the question: What ever happened to their 1st Amendment protections, which (to paraphrase) establish their freedom of speech and right to peaceably assemble to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

As of late, we’ve been finding no shortage of “experts”, who’ve been touting the notion of sensitivity training for cops… mind you… murderous cops who, deep down, would rather be sporting their KKK white than their police department blue. If their commanding officers actually believe a crash course in common decency is the panacea that’ll end police brutality, they are dead wrong.

If police officers do not harbor egalitarianism and humanitarianism within their heads, hearts and souls, to begin with… if they have not patterned their entire lives to those ideals, then, they do not possess the right stuff and do not belong anywhere near a police department. If they, instead, find authoritarianism and barbarism preferable, that would prove them beyond redemption and better suited for a police department’s jail cell.

Those who hire cops must learn how to better vet cop wannabes… make damned sure that only humankind’s finest get badges pinned to their new uniforms. Additionally, a from the attic to the basement, police department house cleaning is in order. If law enforcers’ modus operandi is police brutality, their immediate outing and ousting is already long overdue.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

A Walk in the Park

 

Granted, it might only be garden variety gremlins, which have resulted in my recent, sporadic connectivity to the www. Or, perhaps, rather than my ISP upgrading their Internet infrastructure, too damned many of their corporate profits have been diverted / direct deposited to the greedy, CEO’s bank account?

Yet, how can anyone, ever again, so easily dismiss tech woes in this manner? After all…

A scant four days ago, we, of the whole web-interconnected world, had become eyewitnesses to the spectacle of what went down after Donald J. Trump illegally ordered American troops to attack Americans via a barbaric barrage of rubber bullets, flash grenades and tear gas, for the express purpose of [1] forcing these peaceable protestors out of Washington DC’s Lafayette Park and [2] just so he could lumber across the street to pose for a picture of him rising a Bible skyward.

The implication being what? That, just because God hadn’t lobbed a lightning bolt at him, it means He’s on his side?

What might we make of this? Such conduct smells of an autocrat who realizes that his one and only best shot at staying in power is to overthrow America. Of course, working towards that end, he’d need to silence, divide and conquer demonstrating Americans.

Inarguably, his severing the lines of rapid communication… rendering the www inaccessible… would certainly make such a task…
