As bad as it ALREADY is that moronic Senators have the audacity to question, whether or not, we should secure our elections; i.e., to prevent partisan, fascistic Trumpian hacks from gutting Election Days of all freeness and fairness, this gets even worse.

You see, for reasons only CNN and various other news airers / streamers know (and we can only suspect), they had opted to expurgate 8 seconds worth of Stevie Wonder’s worthwhile message.

First, let’s review what they did allow him to say…

Just one of those Inborn Rights is the Right To Vote in FAIR, UNFETTERED Elections; to have the FREEDOM to empower ONLY the candidates who’ll do our bidding; i.e., conform, as closely as humanly possible, to the honorable values / ideals that WE cherish most; e.g., who’ll, for starters, dutifully legislate clear paths forward to end the pandemic, poverty, social injustice and environmental ruin.

Instead, WE discover the political Hellscape bogged down by closet Klansmen (mostly Trumper Republicans), in collusion with two corporately owned and operated Democrats in Name Only (DINOs) “senators” (West Virginia’s) Joe Manchin and (Arizona’s) Krysten Sinema.

That conglomerate is hellbent on dredging up the outmoded, found NOWHERE in the U.S. Constitution Filibuster, which will obliterate / bury Democracy, itself; respell it D-E-M-O-C-K-C-R-A-Z-Y

And in the process, these contemptible bastards will forever barricade America’s path forward; roadblock ALL progress with Grand Canyon deep craters and sky-high Mt. Everest / Olympus Mons¹ boulders.

On future Election Days, the electorate will be expected to ballot box pleasure DJT or some other fascistic facsimile.

To flat-out ensure THEY win and WE lose, THEY will:

• corruptly cling to their precious political power till Hell freezes over
• reinstall das corrupt, fascistic freak, one DJT, until Hell freezes over
• grant that insufferable, swaggering, blithering idiot Absolute Power
• sycophantically grovel; down on their knees verbally “pleasure” him
• get him in the mood to further fatten their already distended wallets

Cocky Republicans Re-Intro Jim Crow

Voting Rights Activist Stacey Abrams, U.S. Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer and U.S. House Representative Val Demings (all on behalf of the Democratic Party), have been staging an advertising blitz, of late; namely, beseeching We the People to sign their online petitions.

Based upon the ads that I’ve seen, so far, Deming’s petition drive is targetting the Senate Filibuster Rule; Abrams’ and Schumer’s document is tackling the slew of recent, odious, nationwide, state legislature passed/governor signed, voter suppression laws; all the above mucked up decrees deeply rooted within America’s ugly, racist, Jim Crow past; all crying out for a long, Long, LONG overdue, permanent deep-sixing.

What could be more repugnant than Georgia’s very statue, which reads:

“No person shall solicit votes in any manner or by any means or method, nor shall any person distribute or display any campaign material, nor shall any person give, offer to give, or participate in the giving of any money or gifts, including, but not limited to, food and drink, to an elector.”

While no fair minded, ethically driven person would ever be a party to actively campaigning / passing out political brochures and swag in close proximity of any polling place, to deny food and water to the standing in inordinately long lines, about to pass out voters? Why, that smacks of downright cruelty; especially considering how inhumane Republicans are already at fault for causing those very queues (due to their intentionally limiting the number of voting booths within predominately minority precincts).

While I am in wholehearted agreement with what Abrams, Schumer and Demings stand for, here, I am a bit doubtful that the passivity of such online petitions can ever prove to be efficacious.

These Democrats are expecting millions of signatures to do what?

• Stop Republicans from hosing down society with their bile?
• Magically cleanse them of their chronic, malignant racism?
• Suddenly, somehow, evolve their mucked up, lizard brains?
• Coax and cajole them to promptly rejoin the human race?
• Get them to sign onto human equality and basic decency?

Egads! I cannot even begin to fathom any Republican reaction other than each of those knuckle-draggers publicly dropping their whitey tighties, wresting away those printed out petitions and re-purposing each sheet as an ass-wipe.

Why, I cannot envision even Democrats, of the DINO variety (e.g. U.S. Senators Kyrsten Sinema and Joe Manchin) reacting all that much differently… well… uh… other than their first seeking out the seclusion of the Capitol Hill lavatory stalls.

NOPE, the passivity of petitions, just ain’t gonna cut it!

And I do feel duty bound to remind: Was not that impressive Blue Wave on Election Day 2020 enough to inform Abrams, Demings and Schumer that we really do stand behind them? OK, if it’ll make ‘em feel any better WE DO SUPPORT YOU 100 PERCENT!

Seeing how the vast majority of voters have already signed onto their agenda via our cast 2020 ballots, why would we need to sign their petitions, too?

Circulating petitions is little more than a certifiable, time wasting distraction of epic proportions; time that’d be far better spent were Abrahms, Demings and Schumer to live by the immortal words of Nike, “JUST DO IT!” And, for the sake of emphasis, let’s modify that to further advise: JUST DO IT DAMMIT!

While I have no doubt that these petitioners’ intentions are well-meaning, need anyone remind them that:

“The road to hell is paved with good intentions.”

And guess what, guys; you can count on the Republican hellions manning the toll booths all along the way!

My Petition to the Petitioners

`

Of late, Interwebs surfing Americans have been inundated with impassioned pleas to sign the petitions being circulated by prominent, Democratic Party representatives; e.g., the dedicated Voting Rights Activist Stacey Abrams and the barely noticeable Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer.

Granted, such documents can prove useful in taking the ideological pulse / reading the moral compasses of Americans. However, I do remind these good-intentioned folks that they ALREADY know how we truly feel. Such petitioners need look no further than the resounding results of the legitimate, indisputable 2020 elections. Have they not taken a gander at which national / state level candidates won / lost, what ballot proposals succeeded / failed, etc; of how, most notably, Georgia got flipped from MAGA Red to TRUE Blue?

I mean WTF further validation do Democrats need, anyway?

To virtually pass around petitions serves no purpose other than to hide the fact that, SO FAR, obstructed Democrats have not been making good on their promises to [1] thwart the Republican’s nationwide voter suppression tactics (Jim Crowism / Gerrymandering), [2] raise minimum wage to $15 per hour (which actually needs to be at least $24), [3] roll out bold infrastructure improvements (inclusive of human infrastructure) and [4] unshackle the robust climate change mitigating / reversing science (before it’s too effing late).

It’s high time Democrats grow a set; refocus priorities to get their political house in order; i.e., the White House, U.S. House of Representatives and, especially, Schumer’s U.S. Senate, where the recalcitrant, power-tripping little “d” democrats Kyrsten Sinema and Joe Manchin have been gleefully, further weakening President Joe Biden’s ALREADY weak agenda.

Both Schumer and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi need to also promptly serve notice to the always avaricious for power and obscene wealth, obstructionist, Trumper Republicans; remind these alleged legislators that their whiny, cacophonous, cantankerous, cancerous, sore loser… the narcissistic and fascistic Donald J. Trump… did lose to Joe Biden; remind them that, here in America, Majority Rules and the vast majority of voters did empower a Democratic Majority to speak on their behalf. I mean, since Trumper (f)law-men / (f)law-women cannot be supportive, at the very least, they need to get the F outta our way!

More to the point, Democrats must bust up the Senate Filibuster rule which, in theory, is supposed to promote bipartisanship, BUT, in actual practice, is nothing but a road block to all progress. Dems must also perform some sort of political exorcism to rid both Sinema and Manchin of their soul sucking, Trumper demons.

Granted, very little of that will prove easy; in fact it could be downright risky business; i.e, could cause Democrats to lose their (theoretical) control of the legislative branch (come 2022), and the executive branch (come 2024). However, if Dems do nothing now? Well, let’s just say that many of the voters, who they’ll alienate, will sit out one or both Election Days. In essence, Dems, who appear spineless, will own such a dismal, political downfall, anyway.

Indeed, it’d be far riskier for Democrats to piss off critical thinking voters who want… strike that… who DEMAND bold legislation designed to promote human dignity and equality, honest even handed, liberty-based governance and solid environmental stewardship. Furthermore, we DEMAND laws that’ll bury effing Fascism, too!

And speaking of totalitarianism, a heady reminder to all empowered Democrats. Should you ever fail to rigorously investigate Donald J. Trump and his co-conspirator insurrectionists / traitors (some of whom, in all likelihood, are still masquerading as U.S. legislators); fail to purge all guilty parties from our legislative bodies and forever bar such anti-American wannabes from seeking elective office, we will live to regret that; perhaps even die as a nation. We can expect Trump’s cult to rear its ugly head, anew, to once again reprise their January 6, 2021 attempt to overthrow / burn down America.

We, who really know what America is supposed to be all about, actually want our all-encompassing, national policy to reflect who We are; live up to these mighty sounding ideals:

“We the People of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America.”

Grins & Glad Tidings Won’t Cut It

`

Granted, this stream of consciousness is more about venting than revealing any fresh, significant insights into the American tableau / life itself. But, vent I must and vent I will. Hell, what have I got to lose, anyway, seeing how few, if any, will be clicking by.

The curse of stale politics, in particular, re the Stateside Two-Party System, has never been more glaring, unmistakable and inescapable.

This past November, ridding the American body of The Cancer, one Donald J. Trump, had left us little choice but to empower Joe Biden. And, seeing how Donny had set the expectations bar far, Far, FAR below rock bottom, to get elected, all Joe needed to do was smile and offer up an affable, “Howdy!”

That’s not to imply Joe’s road ahead will ever be smooth. Nope, not when all his nasty political foes offer is a roadmap (akin to a blank sheet of paper); or worse yet, role play the traffic cops from Hell; who pull him over to harass him.

Sadly, Joe had hoped to usher in an era of bipartisanship. But how, pray tell, can he ever expect to deliver on his campaign promise when he’s one of cooperation’s few advocates? Here’s the rub.

When the 18th century framers of the U.S. Constitution had established Legislative, Judicial and Executive Branch checks and balances, they, obviously, had never anticipated 21st century hyper-partisanship; i.e., the irreconcilable gridlock between the seditious, power hungry, greedy, devoid of all decency Trumper Republicans and the naïve and impotent Democrats.

Desperately needed are Action Hero Democrats; not the asses who meekly warm the very seats, which our legally cast ballots have awarded them.

That’s not to imply Dems‘ road ahead will ever be smooth, either. True they are, currently, the majority party in the Senate, however, that’s merely a razor thin mathematical advantage; their authority further compromised by two DINOs* (namely Joe Manchin and Kyrsten Sinema). Beyond that, so long as the archaic filibuster rule still stands, any innovative, life enhancing / saving legislative changes (that We can believe in) will still require the approval of 60 (not 51) out of 100 senators.

More to the point, America’s Founding Fathers had expected true love of country / respect for humankind’s core values to always trump penny ante politics; this best summed up thusly:
