The above intro, courtesy of New Zealand’s Ms. Shirley Șerban, sets up her peak performance of the James Horner / Will Jennings composition “My My Heart Will Go On”. Via her revised, pandemic related lyrics she makes her impassioned plea to mask-up to save humanity. Read her opening statement, in its entirety, over @YouTube. As for my own sentiments…
Regrettably, my four grandparents’ emigration, Stateside, shortly after the turn of the 20th century, is why I now find myself residing within what Donald J. Trump has created in his own image; namely, one of the most ignorant and inconsiderate societies ever known to humankind.
Whenever I witness the Karens (of all genders) going apoplectic, at the mere thought of masking up during this deadly global pandemic, no less; catch a whiff of their flat out unwillingness to prevent human suffering and death, I’m almost ashamed to call myself an American; “almost” because I know I’m not the only one who really gives a damn.
Yet, it’s the ease with which nearly 1 out of 2 of my compatriots have succumbed to an incomprehensible, head over heels, undying hero worship for the likes of the totally unlikable Trump, which has rendered me heartbroken.
That sorry state of affairs, for the most part, also explains why nearly 275,000 souls have died from COVID-19, so far, on his “watch”.
Seeing how America’s WORST president, EVER, still insists on burying “his numbers”, would it shock any of us to someday discover that grave digger Donald buried twice that grim 275K?
To do our part to ACTUALLY keep those numbers down, there needs to be nearly 100% mask-up compliance. If you need to fashion your own, no sewing skills required face coverings, follow the blog ending link below. This is how I make my own masks, which have been saving my life throughout 2020.
For the benefit of all Trumpers out there:
Masking up is our moral and civic duty. Don’t whine about it!
JUST DO IT, DAMN IT!
Stay Publicly Masked!
Stay Safe at Home!
Stay Healthy!
